About Us
Dr. Sean Welch MD
Dr. Sean Welch is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a subspecialty in Interventional Pain Management. His clinical practice focuses on musculoskeletal and nerve-related injuries both acute and chronic. He provides medication management, injections and minimally invasive surgeries – including but not limited to – spinal cord stimulators.
Dr. Welch was raised in Portland, Maine and moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2019 to start his residency. After falling in love with Texas, he and his wife settled on San Antonio as their home. In his free time he loves to spend time with his wife, son, and three huskies. He also enjoys CrossFit and snowboarding (when he can sneak in a trip to the mountains).
He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from Northeastern University and medical degree from Tufts University both in Boston, MA. He came to San Antonio for residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UT Health followed by fellowship in Interventional Pain Management.
